As they continue to grow and evolve, they're looking for a Payroll Clerk to join their dedicated finance team.
What the Payroll Job Involves:
- Working in a small payroll team processing hourly and salaried staff on a monthly basis of circa 600 employees.
- Processing starters and leavers including P45s and New Starter Checklists for HMRC.
- Calculating holiday pay in line with current legislation as well as assessing entitlement to statutory payments, such as SMP, SPP, MSP, and SSP.
- Responsible for uploading pension contributions to their pension provider.
- Processing PAYE payments as well as meeting HMRC submission deadlines.
- Producing P11ds, P60s, P45s, and any other tax-related documents.
- Calculating overtime payments with hourly uplifts, bonus payments, and salary sacrifice entitlements such as company cars.
Skills required:
- Experience in payroll is essential, although it can be from any industry or sector.
- Excellent communication skills as you will be speaking to people on a daily basis over the phone and via email about their payroll queries.
- Strong numeracy skills with attention to detail.
- Experience using any payroll system such as Sage Payroll, IRIS, or Brightpay.
Other Information:
- Full time 37 hours a week.
- Hybrid working typically 2 days from home.
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (increasing with service).
