An HSE Engineer to implement and follow up Group’s HSE policies, objectives, programs and tools, to contribute to the design and testing of Group’s HSE programs and tools, and to develop and deploy site specific HSE objectives and programs in order to manage risk, support improvement of industrial operations and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Deployment of Group HSE policies, procedures, standards and guidelines - both for current and future requirements
- Advice on, and compliance with HSE policies, regulations and legislation
- Behavioral Safety Initiatives
- Audit and assessment reports of HSE matters
- HSE project management
- Internal & external HSE communication
- Site representation towards authorities (under supervision of Site HSE Manager)
- HSE Incident investigation, analysis & reporting
- Effective roll-out of Group and site specific HSE programs and tools
- Continuous Improvement of the HSE function on site and effectively servicing the site's HSE requirements
Health, Safety & Environmental Engineer implements and maintains company policies adhering to local, UK, health, safety and environmental regulations. Involved in the design and development of facilities, work areas and work procedures and makes health and safety recommendations accordingly. Continuously improving the service levels provided by the department and be responsible for preparing, maintaining, and updating HSE policy and procedure manuals. Ensures compliance with all health, safety and environmental regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organisation.
This is a "fully proficient" well-grounded middle-level professional and typically requires experience in the field, related area or can demonstrate suitable competencies through experience.
- National Examination Board of Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) qualification (or working towards it)
- Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) membership (or working towards it)
- Experience in HSE Management Systems ISO 14001
- Ability to conduct risk assessments in compliance with Regulations
- Able to work alone, or as part of a team
- IT literate with the ability to adapt to new software
