Responsibilities
- Working with global clients ingesting large volumes of high frequency time series data
- Working with business users to define application requirements and deliver new functionality
- Involvement in all aspects of SDLC – planning, creating, testing, and deploying software solutions
- Analyzing data and delivering concise insights to business users
- Working as part of a team to deliver solutions
- Assisting in training of junior developers
- Taking ownership of critical activities
- Developing a detailed understanding of how trading operations work within large scale financial organisations
Qualifications
- Strong educational background – Degree (Masters would be an advantage)
- 2+ Years using KDB+ to develop software
- Experience with Unix environments
- Demonstrated client experience and track record developing software solutions
- Good knowledge and experience with SDLC, including design, architecture, developing code, testing, and deployment
- Experience with tick architecture, large scale data capture and data analysis
- Ability to write clean and efficient code
- Experience in other languages like Java, C++ or Python
- Excellent communication skills across all levels of seniority
- Strong interpersonal skills, with good relationship building and engagement skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
