Are you an experienced Underwriting Operations professional ready to take ownership and drive operational excellence at a fast-growing MGA/Syndicate? We’re looking for an Underwriting Operations Manager to lead and evolve our Client's operational function, ensuring efficiency, innovation, and service across the business. In this role, you’ll be pivotal in aligning operations with strategic growth goals, overseeing underwriting processes, driving change initiatives, and delivering critical performance insights to senior leadership.

You’ll be the operational heartbeat of the underwriting team — managing platforms, optimising workflows, supporting capacity relationships, and leading technology enhancements.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • A strong background in managing MGA operations, ideally across specialty lines
  • 5+ years’ experience in the London Market and deep familiarity with Lloyd’s processes
  • Expertise in underwriting operations, capacity management, claims processes, and financial controls
  • Solid knowledge of Bordereaux (BDX) lifecycle management, cash allocation, and data mapping
  • Proven experience in operational change management and digital transformation projects
  • Proficiency with underwriting platforms (such as Advantage Go Navigator or Subscribe) and data analytics tools
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to lead projects, streamline workflows, and drive automation
  • Excellent leadership skills to guide a small, dedicated team

London Market experience is integral. Experience delivering MI packs and operational KPIs to the board, and staying ahead of London Market regulatory trends and technological advancements, will be key to success in this role.
