King’s College London is seeking candidates at all levels of experience with the drive and passion to deliver high quality customer service to support our strategic aims. This is an ideal opportunity to commence or further your career in Higher Education administration. This role sits within the School of Politics & Economics (SPE) and is based at our Strand campus, home to three inter-disciplinary departments: Department of Political Economy, Department of European and International Studies, and King’s Russia Institute.
The School of Politics & Economics is looking for a Programme Officer to join our education team supporting teaching across the School. The Programme Officer will support students and academic staff as the first point of contact for queries, whether face-to-face, via phone or electronic media. They are responsible for essential work to support the delivery of our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and for ensuring that student lifecycle activities run smoothly, ensuring that our students and staff experience our services in a seamless and effective manner. This is a full-time post, and you will be offered an indefinite contract.
About You
- Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to draft documents and correspondence
- Excellent organisation and time management skills and the ability to balance competing priorities under pressure
- Strong numeracy skills and ability to analyse complex numerical data
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and the ability to work on new systems
- Methodical, detail-oriented and flexible in approach to work, maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Ability to work with a broad range of stakeholders in a professional and assured manner, including experience in a customer-facing environment
- Proactive with the ability to work independently as well as delivering within a team, committed to equality, diversity and professional development
- Experience in the use of databases, student records systems (such as SITS) and website content management systems
- Experience of using virtual learning environments
