Our Client is a leading and established supplier to leading high street names. We are recruiting a Fabric Technologist to work alongside their product development and technical teams, advising on fabric standards and procedures, sustainability, compliance, and care labelling.
- Ensure fabric is quality-managed to meet performance standards and market regulations while maintaining critical path dates.
- Proactively troubleshoot possible production issues regarding fabric characteristics, technical construction, lead times, and colours, and provide solutions or recommendations to mitigate risks in bulk production.
- Manage test reports, implementing corrective actions or solutions where fabric performance falls below expected standards.
- Maintain a database of fabric suppliers, keeping certificates and actioning audits.
- Manage REACH and chemical compliance.
- Ensure customer raw materials policies are followed.
- In-depth knowledge of woven and knitted fabric production and testing processes.
- Understanding of sustainable fabric standards (Textile Exchange, BCI, etc.).
