Role: Project Engineer - Bespoke Capital Equipment

Location: Banbury-based with UK Travel

Salary: Up to £56,000 DOE + Car Allowance

Role Overview:

Join a market-leading engineering solutions provider as a Project Engineer, taking full ownership of bespoke capital equipment projects - from order through to installation and handover. Based in Banbury, with regular UK travel, this role offers technical variety, autonomy, and cross-functional leadership.

What you'll be doing:

  • Deliver multiple engineering projects across design, procurement, manufacture, installation, and commissioning
  • Lead internal teams and coordinate departments to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients during site operations, ensuring smooth delivery and timely resolution of any issues
  • Prepare and maintain all necessary project documentation, including risk assessments, schedules, and reports
  • Manage commercial aspects of projects, including cost control and handling project variations
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations throughout all project activities and planning

What you'll need:

  • HNC/HND or higher in Mechanical, Design, or General Engineering
  • Extensive project management experience within engineering or capital equipment environments
  • Strong understanding of health and safety protocols (NEBOSH or equivalent essential)
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel across the UK and Europe
  • Full UK driving licence and valid passport

Desirable:

  • BEng/MEng, PRINCE2, APM or PMP
  • Experience with 2D/3D CAD or structural design
  • Background working across multinational teams or projects
