Location: Hybrid – 1-2 days per week in the office (West London).

Rate approx. 550pd Inside IR35 to the umbrella.

Must have right to work in the UK and be based within easy reach of West London.

Contract Network Engineer with strong expertise in Infoblox, responsible for migration from old/legacy Infoblox to already running Infoblox installation. This will require re-design of the newer installation, to allow hosting of DNS towards the internet; consolidation/migration of data from older installation into newer; configuration of Infoblox to host DNS for Active Directory (migration from older installation). Top focus is on the Infoblox skills and experience as above with network engineering experience, Juniper and Brocade network configuration desirable. Lead a migration project from a Legacy platform to a new environment. This is a 3-month contract with a focus on redesigning and implementing the migration of an outdated Infoblox installation that has been overdue for replacement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Redesign and implement the migration from an old Legacy Infoblox platform to a new platform.
  • Consolidate and migrate existing data, ensuring smooth transition with minimal disruption.
  • Handle DNS (Windows Active Directory), DHCP, and IPAM as part of the migration process.
  • Address potential reconfiguration needs for Cisco, Juniper and Brocade systems (15+ years old), though networking involvement is minimal.
  • Troubleshoot and provide security expertise for Infoblox in a networked environment.
  • Work with Active Directory to configure DNS Servers for AD integration.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of Infoblox (network and security) design/config/migration – this is the core requirement.
  • Hands-on experience with DNS, DHCP, and IPAM.
  • Experience in deploying Infoblox as a DNS server for Active Directory.
  • Basic understanding of Cisco, Juniper and Brocade systems (advantageous but not essential).
  • Ability to work independently and manage the migration end-to-end.
