Alexander Steele has partnered with a leading global wine & spirits business that is urgently looking for a Junior Finance Analyst to join the Finance team on a part-time 12-month FTC.

Working 3 days a week, you will support the analysis activities with focus on preparing large datasets, producing reports on Microsoft Excel, supporting the Finance Analyst and involvement in financial monitoring.

On Offer

  • Salary will be circa £132 per day
  • 10% Performance Bonus
  • 3 days a week in the London based office

Key Responsibilities:

  • Database Maintenance: Oversee the accurate upkeep of the Customer “A&P” and Supplier database within the system.
  • Financial Forecasting and Budgeting Support: Provide support to the Finance Analyst in development of financial forecasts and budgets.
  • Performance Reporting: Generate and distribute weekly and monthly performance reports, making sure that the reports are up to date with the relevant information.
  • Price Building Support: Build-up of a base for Rolling forward annual customers’ price lists and costs.
  • Sample Spend Oversight: Track and report on Sample Spend to ensure accurate cash management and allocation among departments.

Candidate Requirements:

  • 2 to 3 years proven experience in data analysis and interpretation of complex financial data.
  • Experience and knowledge of basic financial principles
  • Excellent MS Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables and charts
  • Comfortable handling large datasets and producing reports.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy, especially when working with data.
