Travelport is the brains behind lots of your travel bookings - plane, car or hotel. Our technology is used to book that magical holiday, infamous bachelorette party or long overdue school reunion. While we can’t solve mosquito bites or lost luggage, we can simplify a lot of the technical parts of travel, and we’re looking for the best thinkers to help us do it.
How you’ll make an impact:
- Lead a core team of product managers and technical product managers in our goal to truly operationalize IATA New Distribution Capability (NDC) content for our customers.
- The Product team will span across Offer and Order, from Search, Sell to Service.
- The Product Director will work closely with our Engineering leads and create product roadmaps showing full stack delivery through our Access channels (API and UI).
- You will lead a team of product professionals within a matrixed organizational environment demonstrating inspirational leadership and thought leadership for the product portfolio.
Your role in action:
- Provides strategic guidance to the Product Management team for a product portfolio to resolve problems involving highly technical dependencies or creating proposals for changes to requirements or the roadmap.
- Adapt the requirement approach in line with the product design and development activities to deliver ROI.
- Leads the direction of the Product Management principles, methodologies and processes for a product portfolio ensuring that interdependencies are fully identified, documented and solutioned at the enterprise level.
- Influences and liaises effectively at a senior and executive level with business and technical teams to analyze and evaluate opportunities for business change requirements to deliver operational efficiencies and drive customer satisfaction within approved budgets.
- Partners with cross-functional leaders, as well as onshore/offshore resources, to deliver the right products to our customers at the right time in the right experiences.
- Responsible for coaching, mentoring and developing the Product Management team for a product portfolio to deliver their objectives and manage their performance as well as guiding them to achieve their personal growth aspirations.
- Responsible for providing regular feedback on performance and behaviours as part of the Performance Enablement practice and fostering a high-performing team.
- Accountable for resolution of escalated issues; responsible for communication issues and resolutions to senior leadership.
