- Is the salary flexible for the right engineer or are they all on the same rate? The rate is fixed; all engineers are paid the same. Senior engineers and Team Leaders are the only ones that earn more.
- How many hours per week are you contracted for? 40hrs a week 08:30 – 17:00, 30 min unpaid lunch break. We do require flexibility and overtime.
- Do they pay travel time, is it door to door? Yes, Door to Door.
- How often would you be on standby and what is the standby payment? Standby varies from region to region anywhere from 1 in 5 to 1 in 15; payment is £175 running Monday to Sunday.
- What are the overtime rates and is there much available? Overtime is X1.5 after 40hrs, Sat X1.5, Sun & Bank Holidays X2. Bank Holidays will get a day in lieu.
- How many days annual leave? 25 days + Bank Holidays.
- Is the van available for private use? Yes, just have to opt in and pay private mileage around 12p a mile depending on Gov rec.
- How big of an area is covered? Depends on the region; try and do postcode orientated area keeping within 1.5hrs of home, however business needs may require further travel from time to time.
- What are the main contracts they will work on? Mainly contract caterers, Schools, Hospitals, Stadiums, FM companies, Banks, Hotels, MOD sites.
- All Engineers will require an enhanced DBS clearance.
