You’ll be working on a diverse portfolio of projects across the North of England, with a balanced mix of office-based work and site visits. Therefore, you must hold a full UK driving licence and be open to travel.
YOUR NEW OPPORTUNITY- You’ll lead on cost management across all project stages, from concept to completion.
- You’ll work closely with both clients and delivery teams, influencing real outcomes.
- Expect a variety of complex, high-value projects.

- Lead the preparation of internal commercial reporting and any other required reports.
- Prepare valuations and payment applications, ensuring all documentation aligns with the contract.
- Deliver detailed Cost Reports to clients with accurate, contractually compliant supporting documentation.
- Manage subcontract and material procurement schedules, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Oversee subcontractor and supplier accounts, from requisition preparation to authorising payments and agreeing on final accounts.
- Take charge of contract administration, including managing changes and maintaining comprehensive registers.
- Identify and assess commercial risks, opportunities, value engineering options, and changes.
- Leverage costing systems to streamline processes and enhance decision-making.
- Provide expert input for the preparation of internal commercial reports and other necessary documentation.
- Hold relevant industry qualifications to back your expertise.
- Commercially aware with deep knowledge of standard contracts and measurement methods.
- Ability to negotiate, present, and influence effectively.
- Experience in the construction or engineering sectors with a solid commercial background.
- Proficient in NEC forms of contract.
