Join an excellent team of 4 in the UK & Ireland legal team based in London and get involved in broad and interesting legal matters within a rapidly growing and dynamic business within the Telecommunications, connectivity and infrastructure space. This is a 12 month FTC with potential of extensions up to 18 months. This is a great opportunity to become fully embedded into a highly collegiate telecommunications business in a varied corporate/commercial role.
This role would suit someone who has:
- a strong commercial background
- the ability to adapt quickly and work in smaller legal teams
- experience in public procurement within telecommunications, transportation, energy or infrastructure sectors (though people without this experience will also be closely considered)
- the capability to manage varying workloads and switch between commercial, corporate, dispute management and data protection matters
- experience as an in-house lawyer in dynamic and fast-paced environments
- the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
A qualified lawyer with at least 3/4 years PQE.
Position Purpose: To ensure the protection of The Group's UK&I's commercial relationships with customers, suppliers and business partners; responsible for giving practical and focused advice on a wide variety of commercial legal matters, supporting the growing business and helping them to build and scale.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Providing advice on a wide range of legal matters affecting the operations including telecommunications, public procurement, property, employment, data protection, disputes, and other general corporate and commercial law matters.
- Working closely with the General Counsel and outside counsel to coordinate a wide range of commercial contract negotiations including advice, negotiation, review and drafting of:
- large, complex, and high value contracts with government and telecommunications companies
- contracts for construction works, equipment supply and installation, maintenance and support, and professional services
- leases and licences connected with the implementation and operation of telecommunications networks and office operations.
Salary: DOE
Start date: ASAP (Likely May 2025)
Working arrangements: 3 days a week in Paddington office.
