Assessor for Retail

Permanent

Home Based with some travel to Birmingham, Staffordshire, or Coventry to see learners.

Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm (with flexibility) and 45 mins lunch.

Equipment is provided, including a laptop, mobile, headsets, etc.

Job role:

  • Carrying out assessing and end point assessment activities and making decisions for apprenticeship standards.
  • Must have either end point assessing experience or worked as an assessor or as a Tutor for Retail.
  • Conducting these online.
  • Planning meetings with apprentices and employers online.
  • Agreeing a plan and schedule for each assessment activity for the end point window.
  • Marking in line with grading criteria for the apprenticeship standard and confirming each element has been completed.
  • Determining the overall grade for the apprentice based on the combination of performance in all assessment activities.
  • Participating in standardization and training activities.

Essential requirements for the role:

  • Must be Assessor or IQA qualified – such as A1 or TAQA or D32/D33 or CAVA and V1 or D34.
  • Must have been either an end point assessor or an assessor or Tutor in Retail.
  • Must have experience in the past working as a Manager in Retail.
