Main Duties:

  • Scheduled maintenance and repair of building services assets
  • Respond to breakdowns and reactive calls
  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs or advise on actions
  • Monitor plant, equipment, and systems to ensure service continuity
  • Conduct dynamic risk assessments and escalate concerns
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with COSHH regulations for hazardous materials
  • Review maintenance procedures and complete engineers logs
  • Assist in creating SOPs and EOPs
  • Available for overtime or shift work
  • Maintain company brand standards
  • Regular contact with Service Desk, Supervisors, Contract Managers, and Customer contacts
  • Comply with company policies and procedures
  • Report near misses, accidents, and incidents
  • Notify line manager of any lapses in procedures or control measures

Qualifications and Experience:

  • C&G Level 3 or equivalent in relevant subject (Mechanical, Electrical, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration)
  • ONC/HNC building services engineering, mechanical or electrical engineering
  • NVQ Level 3
  • Recognized EITB apprenticeship (Maintenance and Operations Engineering MOET), or similar
  • 2+ years of experience in engineering and maintenance services within the building services industry
  • Fully conversant with electrical and mechanical maintenance activities
  • Competency in basic IT and computer skills
