An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Applications Engineer to join an innovative company specialising in Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) solutions. This role is based onsite with visits to customer sites in the UK and Europe. It is offering the chance to work directly with cutting-edge technologies in nanoscale surface measurement and analysis.
In this role, you will provide technical support, system optimisation, and demonstrations of AFM / SPM / Metrology systems, ensuring the customer achieves optimal performance for their applications. You’ll play a key role in the demonstration lab, training users, troubleshooting technical challenges, and serving as the interface between the customer and the internal engineering team.
The ideal Applications Engineer will have:
- Strong knowledge of AFM / SPM systems or other nanoscale surface measurement tools.
- Experience in troubleshooting and optimising complex scientific instruments.
- Excellent communication skills for training and technical demonstrations.
