We are supporting an academy of schools in the recruitment of a Facilities Assistant who will have responsibility for supporting the day-to-day facilities duties. The role will see you assisting with the maintenance and security of premises, buildings and grounds.
If you have some experience of facilities, maintenance and/or operational functions with a keenness and willingness to learn and develop, then this may be the role for you.
Duties:
- Assist with maintenance and ad-hoc repairs.
- Assist in maintaining the security of school premises, buildings and grounds.
- Assist in maintaining, operating and testing security systems.
- Play an active role in the completion of compliance checks.
- Supervise contractors on-site.
- Setup and supervise events.
The right person for the job will:
- Have previous experience in a maintenance, handyman, caretaker type role.
- Have previous experience within a school setting would be preferred.
- Be a team player.
- Be adaptable and flexible.
- Full UK Driving Licence (Essential) and own transport (Essential) due to working across multiple sites.
Starting immediately as a temp and working weekly until you transfer to a permanent contract, hours will cover 37/week with flexibility to cover hours between 06.00 and 22.00, although rarely starting and finishing at these times. The role is subject to Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks.
