Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Business Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office by providing essential administrative support. This position requires a proactive individual who can manage various clerical tasks, maintain efficient office procedures, and contribute to the overall productivity of the organisation. This position is in a Law practice. The ideal candidate will also need to attend college one day per week. 80/20 time between learning and working.
Work location: Willesden, London NW10
Duration: 18 months
Working Hours
- At Practice: Monday - Thursday 9:30am to 5:30pm
- At College: Friday: Hours to be confirmed.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out diary management and ensuring all tasks are delegated to the correct diary
- Taking minutes at meetings and ensuring accuracy
- Inputting data to various databases, validating and checking data to ensure its accuracy
- Preparing documents through editing, printing and binding
- Drafting documents such as letters
- Ordering and receipting goods for office/cleaning supplies (storing in correct areas)
- Creating presentations and reports
- File creation and client care correspondence
- Making and receiving telephone calls and dealing with telephone enquiries
- Providing regular updates to clients as to the current situation of their case
- Carrying out legal research
- Preparing accounts forms, invoices and understanding client ledgers
- Assisting with administrative duties such as photocopying, scanning, filing tasks and letter writing
- Undertaking preparation of court proceedings and utilising workflows on the case management system, under supervision
Skills
- At least GCSE English B and Math B, A-Level - Law background
- Proficient in clerical and administrative tasks with a strong attention to detail.
- Competent in using computerised systems, particularly Ms Word, Ms Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent data entry skills with a focus on accuracy.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Demonstrated phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for effective communication.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
