Oasis Software Solutions is looking to onboard a Lead Engineer to underpin our continued growth with key clients across the UK. The postholder will work hand in hand with the wider engineering team to deliver our projects to the highest standard to ensure customer satisfaction. You will be involved in the design of control software for various industries, utilising your PLC programming and SCADA knowledge, to evaluate and provide technical estimation and solutions for hardware and engineering solutions against customer enquiries and specifications.
Some of Your Key Duties Include:
- Peer reviewing control system software produced by other team members.
- Undertaking software testing and client acceptance testing, sometimes at customer premises.
- Performing site system integration activities at a customer's site including control system setup and installation, dry commissioning, wet commissioning, site acceptance testing, operator training and handover.
- Perform ad hoc site modifications and provide aftercare support of the customer's control system on site.
- Perform continued professional development to build upon skill set.
- Assist Junior Engineers with skill set development.
- Reporting to the Technical Director to provide status and monitoring of Team performance.
- Line management and supervision of dedicated Team including providing guidance and instruction to junior members of the project team.
What Do You Need?
- Degree level education BSc or BEng in Engineering/Science or alternate qualification equivalent in Electrical, Control Systems Engineering.
- Experience in Controls Systems Engineering.
- Experienced in Siemens and/or Rockwell Automation and/or Schneider Electric latest Automation and Process Control Systems.
- Ideally experienced with DCS systems including PCS7 and PlantPAx.
- Able to use own initiative and work to tight deadlines.
- Demonstrable experience in completion of full turnkey projects from design through to programming and commissioning.
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and be experienced with client-facing.
