Join a leading manufacturing company in Rushden, Northamptonshire, seeking an experienced Permanent Production Manager to streamline their operations. A great opportunity to look after a team of approximately 20 operators on a constant night shift of 3 on/3 off. This is very much a hands-on role.
Daily duties are likely to involve:
- People management to maximise output, minimise costs and constantly review labour and resources
- Planning for shift holidays/sickness
- Achieve the quality of product to meet the required spec
- Achieving production plan in-line with expected output whilst liaising with planning, engineering/sales to manage changes and exceptions
- Ensure a high standard of housekeeping from good working practice and maintain a safe working environment
- Minimise scrap and downtime by monitoring the live reports through the shift and reacting to the issues it highlights
In return, what we need from you:
- Previous experience as a Production Manager or similar
- Flexible attitude
- Have the ability to spot issues, address and rectify
- Be hands-on whilst being an efficient manager
- Be able to work x3 on, 3 off night shift, 7pm - 7am
