ESG REC are working with a leading provider and integrator of network infrastructure, electrical and communication solutions who are looking to recruit a Solar Project Manager to support the expansion of the company within the Renewable Energy market. Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end management of utility-scale solar projects, overseeing scope, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for labour, materials, and equipment procurement.
- Coordinate and manage multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, electricians, and subcontractors, to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Ensure full compliance with BS 7671 (18th Edition), G99 grid connection requirements, and Health & Safety Executive (HSE) regulations.
- Conduct comprehensive site surveys, manage procurement processes, and oversee installation and commissioning phases.
- Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, resolve technical challenges, and maintain high standards of safety and quality control.
- Provide technical expertise in photovoltaic (PV) systems, inverter technologies, and associated electrical infrastructure.
Qualification:
- Degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or related field.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, 18th Edition certification preferred.
Experience:
- 3+ years of real-world experience installing and maintaining solar PV systems.
- 2+ yearsβ experience managing utility-scale solar projects.
- Demonstrable experience in financial management and project costing.
- Expertise knowledge of UK solar technology.
Location: This role is based on site in Peterborough.
