Reporting to the Director of Medical Affairs, the Established Brands Medical Lead will be responsible for leading and developing medical product strategies and activities in close collaboration with medical and cross-functional teams. This role will act as the scientific expert for assigned products, contributing to clinical strategy and collaborating to develop impactful omnichannel medical communication and education plans.
Location: This is a London-based role with hybrid working, requiring 12 days per month in the office.
Major accountabilities:- Understand and follow trends across disease areas to maintain scientific and clinical leadership.
- Deliver medical leadership to cross-functional plans to maximize lifecycle opportunities.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with clinicians and other stakeholders.
- Co-create and co-lead the medical and overall strategy.
- Lead lifecycle management and delivery of regulatory requirements (e.g., risk management plans, prescribing information updates).
- Work collaboratively to establish educational needs and deliver strategic educational plans through digital and other channels.
- Build relationships within the Healthcare System, fostering collaboration, trust, and commitment.
- Significant experience in Medical Affairs within a pharmaceutical company.
- Broad knowledge across multiple disease areas and ability to quickly adapt to new areas.
- Proven experience in digital communication and education.
- Excellent communication skills with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of the UK Healthcare System and external stakeholder management.
- Deep understanding of the drug development and approval process.
- Ability to influence without authority.
