Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess engaging DT lessons across a range of disciplines (Product Design, Engineering, Textiles, etc.).
- Inspire creativity and foster critical thinking in students aged 11-18.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with other teachers and support staff to enhance curriculum delivery.
- Contribute to departmental planning, marking and assessments where required.
Skills, Experience and Abilities
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching DT at secondary school level (KS3, KS4; KS5 desirable).
- Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and health and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly and build positive relationships with students and staff.
