Our client, a leading force in advanced aerospace engineering, is looking for a Project Manager to coordinate and deliver complex, technical projects that push the boundaries of what’s possible. This is a varied, hands-on role where you’ll be the driving force behind a portfolio of high-value programmes.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading cross-functional project teams to deliver business-critical outcomes.
- Acting as the key point of contact for internal stakeholders, ensuring project alignment and clear communication.
- Building robust project baselines, resource plans, and justifications with technical managers.
- Managing risks, resources and schedules – across both individual projects and broader programme portfolios.
- Preparing detailed work breakdown structures and ensuring project milestones and stage gates are met.
- Driving clear and consistent communication across stakeholders.
- Supporting bids, from estimating and planning through to client presentations.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience within Aerospace/ Defence preferred but not essential.
- Engineering or Manufacturing experience is essential.
- At least 2 years’ experience delivering complex projects in a high-tech or engineering-led environment.
- A confident communicator, able to understand technical concepts with support from subject experts.
- Strong leadership qualities with a track record of delivering on time, within scope and budget.
- Experience managing stakeholders at all levels – commercial experience a plus.
- Project management qualification desirable, but not essential if you’ve got the experience to back it up.
This is NOT an IT Project Manager role; the client is looking for candidates with either Engineering or Manufacturing Project Management experience.
