We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Analyst to join our growing Information Security team based near Sunderland. The successful candidate will play a key role in protecting our digital assets, monitoring threats, investigating incidents, and supporting the implementation of security policies and controls across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and respond to security alerts and events across endpoints, networks, and cloud environments.
- Perform daily analysis of security logs from SIEM tools and other sources to detect potential threats.
- Investigate and manage cybersecurity incidents, performing root cause analysis and remediation.
- Assist in vulnerability management activities, including scanning, reporting, and coordinating patching.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of security tools (e.g., endpoint protection, firewalls, email security).
- Conduct user awareness training and contribute to phishing simulations or similar initiatives.
- Collaborate with IT teams on secure configurations, access controls, and system hardening.
- Document processes, incident reports, and recommend improvements to strengthen the overall security posture.
- Stay informed on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and regulatory requirements.
