We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development Marketing Executive, with experience in a professional services environment (ideally within a law firm), to join the Business Development & Marketing team of a City law firm. The Marketing BD Executive will support a practice area with growing fees from existing clients and developing new client relationships. Therefore, this role will focus on BD activities (proposal preparation, research, and identifying opportunities to attract new clients), together with marketing communications and assistance with events.
In a nutshell: We’re looking for someone with some experience in corporate marketing and business development activities and skilled in corporate communications with a proactive, creative, and professional nature and a ‘can-do’ attitude.

Key responsibilities as the Business Development Marketing Executive will include:
- Assisting with plans to grow fees from existing clients and develop new client relationships
- Researching new clients and implementing plans that will help win new business and generate additional fees
- Implementing marketing initiatives (including events, publications, and digital marketing)
- Assisting in the preparation of proposals and monitoring proposal win/loss rates
- Supporting with the compilation of directory submissions
- Undertaking research, analysis, cross-selling opportunities, and information on fees etc.
- Assisting with conferences and industry events throughout the year - managing all event logistics and providing event analytics
- Assisting with communication projects (awards submissions, updating of brochures, newsletters, website content etc.)
- Maintaining the CRM database
What we’re looking for:
- Relevant business development marketing experience (c2-3+ years) within a professional services organisation, ideally a legal firm
- Good academics - a degree/marketing qualification is highly beneficial
- Experienced in undertaking a diverse set of business development and marketing activities
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills with an ability to communicate at all levels effectively
- Impeccable organisation and attention to detail
- IT literate including MS Office (essential) and database management
- Professional, proactive, creative, and enthusiastic team player
- Flexibility to work additional or out of office hours when needed (i.e. events)
