Coopman Search and Selection are currently partnering with a global prop trading/market making firm who are looking to hire a Compliance Officer to cover Quant/Electronic Trading in London. The role will report in directly into the Head of Compliance and would allow you the opportunity to step up over time. In this role you will work closely with Trading, Legal, Risk and Technology teams, by providing expert compliance support to their FX and Commodity Options business. The remit will be broad, supporting a growing office in London whilst improving the existing compliance framework that is in place.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing compliance advice to FX and Commodities traders;
- Monitoring our daily trading activity and communications surveillance;
- Investigating and responding to inquiries from exchanges and regulators;
- Managing the daily transaction reporting processes, such as MiFIR and EMIR;
- Interacting with exchanges to ensure correct trading registrations;
- Conducting compliance, anti-money laundering and market abuse risk assessments, and implementing key controls;
- Analysing business development projects and building strong compliance frameworks;
- Assisting with delivering Compliance training to all employees;
- Collaborating closely with the global compliance teams.
Experience Required:
- 3-5 years of compliance experience within advisory or generalist role;
- Strong knowledge in FX and Commodities;
- Experience in OTC/algorithmic trading compliance;
- Knowledge of US listed derivatives is also a plus (CME, ICE, OCC);
- Strong analytical and communication skills;
- Self-driven, fast learner and ability to perform successfully in a fast-moving environment.
