Our client, a leading consumer goods business is seeking a Consumer Insights Specialist – Ecommerce to support its regional Amazon operations across Europe. This role is instrumental in driving data-led decision making, delivering insights that shape strategy, uncover growth opportunities, and optimise performance across retail, marketing, and operations functions.
The successful candidate will be analytical, commercially astute, and confident in translating data into clear, actionable recommendations for cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver weekly reporting on key Amazon performance metrics across retail, marketing, and operations.
- Provide robust insights and strategic recommendations to support sales growth and market share expansion.
- Analyse data across the full ecommerce journey – from supply chain through to SKU-level performance.
- Create standardised reporting for regional and local teams to improve efficiency and reduce manual workload.
- Act as the primary contact for third-party data providers, ensuring timely resolution of issues and consistent data quality.
- Develop and maintain dashboards that track performance and enable data-driven decision-making.
- Maintain the integrity of marketplace insight tools and support their continuous improvement.
- Identify areas to improve profitability and performance, making recommendations based on wider market trends.
- Provide ad hoc analytical support to team members as required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in ecommerce or marketplaces (Amazon experience preferred).
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Interest in ecommerce, digital marketing, and marketplace dynamics.
- Effective communicator with strong organisational skills and the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Confident in using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience in dashboard creation and data visualisation is advantageous.
