We are seeking a skilled, enthusiastic, well-mannered AV Venue Technician to help us and our customers provide seamless life events. Working with venue operations staff alongside our internal creative and technical teams, you will run the day-to-day events and ensure all equipment is maintained in good operational condition within our venues. You will provide training and support on site through the initial weeks of operation of these new facilities, to ensure the site team have confidence in operating the new systems/products we have implemented.

We’ll need all your professional events and technical experience; you will need to think on your feet and be prepared to step up and deal with fast-changing, sometimes difficult situations. You will need to live within commuting distance of Sheffield, ideally.
Key Responsibilities- Train site staff on how to operate day-to-day services and on basic system operations
- Ensuring the smooth operations of AV events at the venue
- Scheduling maintenance tasks for AV equipment
- Working with the internal creative team to ensure content is tested and delivered in the correct event formats
- Dynamic solving problems as issues arise
- Documenting issues and feedback to help with future solution development
- Communicating with venue operations staff and customers about the elements of a service and demonstrating the equipment/product’s functionalities to help future sales
- Assist project producers/product managers in the productisation of the packages developed within the trial venue
- Feedback to desktop developers, testers, delivery managers, and customer technical support and customer relationship colleagues to manage the delivery of improvements and new products
- Support with the launch of new features and product improvements out to market through Customer Success, Customer Services, Marketing and Go to Market teams
- Support with Change Management for anyone impacted
- Help understand risks and issues
- Provide support to the wider team on less busy site days
- Maintain communication with stakeholders throughout the business
- Generally, get stuck-in and hands-on with a small and fast-moving team
- Prior AV experience (Video & Projection as a primary focus are a bonus) with a range of professional experience such as end-to-end projects, new system set up, user training, problem solving, etc.
- Experience documenting procedures and processes with the ability to train others would be beneficial
- Experience in basic video editing, presentation creation, and Photoshop skills
- Proactive & Resourceful - ability to identify issues quickly and develop practical solutions
- Ability to travel and be away from home regularly (within the UK)
- Full UK driving licence
- Good Communicator: Ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively to diverse audiences
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous in planning, execution, and quality assurance
