Software Product Development Manager, Sports

Who we are looking for

A Software Product Development Manager, who will shape the vision of your product set and deliver new and enhanced software to our Sportsbook Apps, driving forward our plans to be the industry leader. This role is crucial in defining and driving the right products that provide the most value, to ensure our Engineering teams can build the product correctly.

You will take ownership of projects and small work items, and you will be working closely with Operational and Trading teams to ensure the Sports Apps are developed in line with Business requirements and provide a clear product direction for Developers. You will understand the customer, the technology stack, the problem we are trying to fix and why, including the efforts required, ensuring the right decisions are made. In addition, you will have the ability to engage with various stakeholders and communicate with them throughout the process.

Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Experience

• Experience working within product management.
• Experience on customer-facing digital products with hands-on experience with iOS and/or Android apps.
• Comfortable working with internally built and third-party technologies.
• Demonstrable experience of product launches and continuous improvement that achieves Business objectives.
• Experience in delivering mobile application related products and services.
• A drive to understand the customer through continuous customer discovery and user research, at all stages of the development lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of product lifecycles, methodologies and agile frameworks.
• Strategic thinking and the ability to translate Business goals into achievable product plans.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, multi-tasking and working with change.
• Knowledge and understanding of the gambling industry.

Main Responsibilities

• Conducting market research, competitor analysis and customer trend analysis using internal and external data points.
• Developing a comprehensive product strategy and roadmap that aligns with the Company objectives.
• Leading the end-to-end product development lifecycle from ideation to launch.
• Producing detailed requirements that enable the development teams to deliver what is required.
• Prioritising your work stack and reviewing it regularly to ensure timely delivery and release of value, as well as defining what success looks like for your products and initiatives.
• Representing user needs in any technical discussions, ensuring our apps deliver exceptional user experiences that drive engagement and retention.
• Focusing on delivering the best app experiences to our users.
• Managing the ownership and monitoring of the products and functionality owned by the team through use of the objectives and KPIs that you will define.
• Building strong relationships across internal and external stakeholders to ensure complete alignment of product initiatives that meet needs, whilst leading cross functional sessions to align outcomes.
• Challenging decisions, requirements and understandings as needed so all viewpoints are considered.
