Elevation Recruitment Group are working on behalf of a client to recruit a Collections Team Manager. This role will be responsible for leading a team of collections agents, ensuring the timely collection of outstanding balances from SME clients, and driving continuous improvements across processes, customer experience, and team performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate the collections team to meet performance targets and service levels.
- Monitor and report on debt position, collections performance, and key KPIs.
- Identify and address process gaps, implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce overdue debt.
- Support team development through training, coaching and cross-skilling initiatives.
- Handle escalated queries and ensure prompt resolution within SLA.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant policies, procedures and regulations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance customer journey and operational performance.
- Oversee planning, productivity and day-to-day performance management.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar collections or credit management leadership role.
- Strong people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfortable working with data and reporting tools.
- A customer-focused and results-driven approach.
- GCSE Maths & English (Grade C or above) essential; a degree or equivalent qualification is desirable.
