V&C Associates have partnered with one of the UK’s beautiful Womenswear brands that has seen fantastic growth, committed to driving fashion, style, quality, and consistency. The brand is recruiting for a Garment Technologist to work closely with design and product development teams – providing outstanding products to their customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting design by advising measurements and construction details for specs.
- A strong technical knowledge of garments fitting grading and construction is essential.
- Covering multi-product areas working on Women’s woven products, Knit, Jersey, and printed occasion wear.
- Measuring samples and creating fit workbooks from 1st fit to seal to ensure the garments are correct to the brand's requirements.
- Checking grading for production to ensure consistency within the products.
- Reviewing base and bulk test reports for clients and advising on and approving washing instructions.
- Liaising with suppliers globally to support them in the fit and manufacture process, by providing clear instructions and support where needed.
- The ability to effectively communicate across external departments and manage information from a variety of teams.
- Pushing forwards sustainability by joining seminars and networking with labs and suppliers to ensure the client has the knowledge to continue to push this area.
- Working with suppliers to ensure audits are to standard and continually improved upon.
- Analysis of returns/faulty products. Organise QC at our Warehouse.
Essential skills
- You will need to have 5+ years’ experience in multi-product women’s wear garments in the supply side.
- Required to work independently and within a team.
- Taking ownership of the fit process and drive forward quality.
- Have the ability to work in a structured and timely manner, within a team environment as well as on your own.
- You will need to be able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
