Our client, a global leader in the finance industry, is seeking a highly motivated German speaking individual along with fluency in English to join their Alternate Investment Funds' team. This is a 12-month temporary contract with an immediate start date and would suit a candidate with a strong analytical mind and demonstrable interest in financial markets. This is a remote role with 1-week of onsite training in the City of London. This is a great opportunity for recent graduates to begin their career within a leading organisation in the technology and finance industry. This position focuses on sourcing fund data from alternate investment fund managers, building relationships, and acting as a bridge between them and the client’s internal data teams. The successful candidates should have strong communication skills and the ability to manage financial data processes. They should express strong interest in alternate investment funds and financial markets in general.
Responsibilities:- Building relationships with fund managers and acting as their primary point of contact
- Liaising between fund managers and internal data/technical teams
- Sourcing and validating financial data from market providers
- Updating and processing data onto the database adhering to time sensitivity
- Applying problem-solving skills to enhance processes and software
- Take ownership and be proactive with key areas of responsibilities
- Fluency in German in addition to English is a must
- Bachelor or/and Master’s degree in Finance/Economics or equivalent work experience
- Experience in data research and ability to derive information from public sources
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must
- Prior experience / strong knowledge and understanding of Alternate Investment Funds and financial markets in general
- Ability to think critically and demonstrate examples of improving or developing processes
- Strong organization skills with ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously within tight deadlines
- Effective project management skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast pace changing environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills demonstrated in client facing environment
- Ability to interact with leading finance professionals
- Strong attention to details
