Location: Hybrid - (Bradford or Wakefield plus occasional WFH)

Our Client: This is a great time to join our Client, a large Public Sector body providing critical services at a local level with exciting technology plans to drive forward their Digital technology roadmap.

The Role:

  • Support the driving of Information Security compliance across the organisation.
  • Help review and develop relevant Information Security documentation in line with recognised standards and national standards.
  • Identify vulnerabilities and provide guidance on information security, risk management and standards.
  • Work with the team to assess new legislation and national guidance on information security procedures.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Essential: 18 months + experience in a related Information Security / Cyber Security related role, responsible for supporting and driving organisational compliance and maintaining appropriate documentation.
  • A strong IT environment awareness, ideally with some experience gained working in an IT support role.
  • Good awareness of Information Security concepts and practices.
  • A relevant qualification in Information Security or Cyber Security.
  • Knowledge of ISO27000 series of standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise confidently across the team and communicate with all members of the Digital Teams and associated staff.
  • Able to work a minimum of 3 days per week in Bradford or Wakefield offices.
  • Experience delivering projects in a Public Sector environment would be highly beneficial.
  • 5+ years UK residency, with no extended periods outside of the UK, in order to meet the necessary level of security vetting required.

Preferred: Any experience of recognised cyber security frameworks would be ideal but not essential, e.g. CESG, RMADS, NIST, DPAA etc.

You will need to be able to demonstrate that you have lived and worked in the UK for the last 5 years in order to meet the security vetting required for this role.
