Based in the residential area of Earlsheaton, Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, Priory Hospital Dewsbury provides 32 beds, divided into two 16-bed wards for males who have mental health disorders. Hartley Ward is a level 2 Rehabilitation and Recovery Ward (Higher Support Needs). Jubilee Ward is a Neurocognitive service, specialising in dementia. Each service has a dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist who performs the duties of Responsible Clinician. The available post is for Jubilee Ward (16 bedded Specialist Dementia Service). An excellent opportunity for somebody looking to join an established team caring for individuals with Dementia. Jubilee Ward is a 16 bedded male unit which provides a therapeutic environment for men with dementia. Most patients are under MHA and exhibit behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia. The Consultant will work closely with other experienced members of the MDT. The post would be suitable for an Older Adult Consultant Psychiatrist or a General Adult Psychiatrist, with experience of dementia.
