My client is a global Lloyd’s Market Insurer and they are looking for a Technical Senior Project Manager to join their City office and take responsibility for managing the overall planning, execution, and delivery of high complexity technical projects and/or non-complex programs. The role is responsible for demonstrating a high level of expertise and providing technical support for assigned projects and programs. The role involves working closely with technical project and program leadership to ensure efficient project delivery, adherence to timelines, and achievement of project objectives and plays a crucial role in coordinating various project activities and aiding across multiple projects.
Responsibilities:
- Takes responsibility for managing the overall planning, execution, and delivery of high complexity technical projects and/or non-complex programs. Collaborates with stakeholders to align technical projects and programs with the organization's strategic goals and objectives.
- Develops comprehensive project and program plans, including defining technical requirements, estimating resources, and creating project schedules.
- Demonstrates a high level of expertise and provides technical support for assigned programs. Makes informed decisions on technical requirements, solutions, and feasibility.
- Provide leadership to leaders (Team Leads, Scrum Masters, Product Owners).
Required skills/experience:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Ability to influence and drive consensus among diverse groups.
- Able to think clearly and present ideas and plan in a concise and effective manner.
- Experience of working and leading project teams including third parties, Business Analysts, Business SMEs.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in project management and delivery is essential.
