Job Description:
You will be responsible for the management of the delivery of the statutory year end accounts, assisting with project work and ensuring a smooth audit process.
Responsibilities include:
- Planning & preparation of all annual subsidiary statutory accounts to agreed deadlines.
- Supporting and taking responsibility for the preparation of the Group annual report and financial statements, including assisting the coordination of senior stakeholders to ensure documents are reviewed and feedback is incorporated and tracked.
- Day-to-day engagement management of the external audit, planning and timing of statutory accounts audit work and managing the interaction with the delivery of statutory reporting.
- Create improvements in the audit process to ensure a smoother audit and all deadlines are met.
- Providing support as required to the Management accounting and operations teams on technical and any other reporting matters.
- Supporting with the preparation and management of the daily cash flow files and long term cash flow forecasting including sensitivity analysis.
- Providing support to improve the overall control environment including documenting processes and implementing controls where required.
- Assisting with external debt reporting including the quarterly covenant workings, monthly report and annual reporting requirements.
- Assisting with the coordination of HMRC reporting requirements alongside the Group Tax Manager.
- Assisting with drafting papers on certain key areas of judgement used within the statutory accounts.
- Leading or supporting with ad-hoc financial reporting developments / projects / M&A, as and when required.
- Ad-hoc internal audit projects on areas where improvements can be made and to ensure processes and controls are appropriate.
Skills Required:
- Previous experience of financial accounts.
- Experience of managing the full audit process.
- Producing accurate information first time.
- Resilient and able to meet targets in a pressured environment.
- Capability to work in a fast paced/high change business.
Qualifications Required:
- Qualified Accountant - ACA / ACCA.
- Financial reporting experience for groups.
- IFRS or FRS102 knowledge.
- Excel Skills.
Preferred:
- FRS 102 knowledge.
