Interim Estates Surveyor (Inside IR35) Midlands Local Authority £350 per day Hybrid

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a caseload of estate management tasks, including rent reviews, lease negotiations, assignments, licences, wayleaves, and easements, from negotiation through to completion.
  • Conducting site visits to inspect properties for lease compliance, resolve boundary disputes, verify ownership, and take measurements in line with RICS Code of Measurement Practice.
  • Maintaining business rates and utility data, supporting estate reviews, and contributing to projects.
  • Providing technical advice on landlord and tenant matters, supporting payment monitoring, engaging with tenants on payment solutions.
  • Keeping up to date with case law and industry developments to ensure best practices in estate management.
  • Assisting with the annual asset valuation programme, maintaining accurate records, and supporting site visits when needed.
  • Preparing sites for letting, liaising with external advisors, requesting fee proposals.
  • Supporting the Council’s Carbon Neutral 2030 target by identifying and reviewing properties for potential environmental improvements.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external consultants, including legal, facilities, and agents, ensuring compliance with all regulatory processes and fostering strong relationships.
