Do you thrive on ensuring excellence, making a tangible impact across diverse operations, and demonstrating leadership to connect with people at all levels?

The role in a nutshell: In this role, you will not only lead audits but rely on your ability to convince and inspire senior leadership and diverse cross-functional teams to adopt and implement best practices, ensuring alignment with Group standards and benchmarks.

By leveraging your in-depth auditing experience and communication skills, you will guide the development and management of processes and projects that address complex operational concerns. You’ll direct workflows for auditors, escalate critical issues to the Regional HSEC Lead, and supervise local teams to ensure compliance with regulations and the implementation of best practices.

This is more than an auditing role; it’s a leadership position where your expertise will create measurable value for our business. More specifically, you will be expected to:

  • Plan and perform comprehensive audits of Smelters within a metallurgical setting;
  • Review and analyse audit findings to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations;
  • Develop and implement action plans to address audit findings;
  • Prepare detailed reports on audit outcomes and present them to senior management;
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations;
  • Monitor the implementation of action plans and follow up on corrective actions;
  • Provide guidance and support to audit staff and other stakeholders.

Do you have what it takes?

  • A University degree in a related field. A Master’s Degree in Business Administration will be highly regarded.
  • At least 7 years of auditing experience, including 3+ years with progressive responsibilities and accountabilities in a similar role, preferably within the metals and mining industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of industry regulations and standards, ensuring compliance across all operational levels.
  • Experienced in managing projects, analyzing situations, and addressing complex operational issues effectively.
  • Leadership, coaching, and communication skills to guide teams and executives.
  • Proficiency in audit software, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management tools.
  • Capability to work collaboratively and as part of a decentralized, global team.

Travel: You will be required to travel to the different assets between 20-35% of the time and work with colleagues located in different time zones on a regular basis.

Language: English is essential, and the knowledge of French, German, or Spanish is beneficial.

Location: Candidates with full working rights in an EU country (ideally Spain, Germany, or the UK) are encouraged to apply as there is some flexibility on the location.
