Nursery Practitioner

We are working with an independent day nursery who are currently looking for a Nursery Assistant/Nursery Practitioner for their nursery setting in Hove.

The successful candidate will need to hold a level 2/3, CACHE, EYE or recognised equivalent childcare qualification, you will also ideally have a minimum of 6 months nursery setting experience, being able to demonstrate a clear understanding of both the EYFS framework and key worker practices.

Nursery Practitioner – Position Details

Your role will include:

  • Supporting and extending children’s learning, development and educational outcomes
  • Organising and overseeing the planning, implementation and provision of activities
  • Carrying out observations and evaluations
  • Planning and providing next steps to support children’s development

You will ideally have:

  • A level 2 or level 3 Nursery Nurse / Early Years Practitioners qualification
  • An understanding of the EYFS and key worker systems
  • An understanding of health and safety requirements
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
