The Role

This is a dual-role opportunity combining hands-on vehicle maintenance with technical support and training facilitation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and service all vehicles and trailers to ensure roadworthiness, including MOT and MOD inspection preparation.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues on-site or remotely via the in-service helpdesk.
  • Conduct scheduled and reactive site visits across the UK and internationally.
  • Provide direct technical support to training delivery teams in the field.
  • Assist Training Facilitators and Field Service Engineers to ensure smooth execution of training events.
  • Support the upkeep and operational readiness of simulator systems.
  • Represent the organisation professionally while liaising with military training participants worldwide.

What You’ll Need

  • Core Technical Skills: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification as a Vehicle Technician. Proven experience in vehicle maintenance and inspections. Strong diagnostic and mechanical troubleshooting skills. (Bonus) Experience with military vehicles or simulator systems.
  • IT & Systems Proficiency: Comfortable using IT systems for diagnostics, admin, and remote support. Experience supporting or operating simulator systems is a strong advantage.
  • Support & Communication Skills: Excellent communication – especially when supporting users under pressure. Collaborative and supportive attitude to enable successful training outcomes. Ability to adapt quickly and work professionally in multicultural/military settings.

Additional Requirements

  • Eligibility for SC (Security Clearance).

Desirable Extras

  • Ex-military or experience in military training environments. Strong interpersonal skills in technical or field-based roles.
