Aquanzo is a startup transforming sustainable feed production. We’re looking for an AI Engineer to help scale our alternative marine protein systems. If you’re driven by impact and innovation, we’d love to hear from you!

About Us: Aquanzo transforms liquid waste from the food industry into natural and essential marine ingredients for animal feed, feeding the planet while protecting the ocean.

Role Overview: Aquanzo is seeking an AI Engineer with strong data analysis skills, and a passion for applying AI to real-world problems, from image recognition to automated reporting and smart data workflows.

What you’ll do:

  • Work closely with the Software Lead and CTO to expand our AI-powered data platform
  • Design and deploy ML and AI models (e.g. using TensorFlow, Keras, Gemini)
  • Build tools to visualise, analyse, and summarise sensor and image data
  • Develop post processors for plotting, automatic reporting, and generating alerts
  • Use OpenCV, YOLO, and similar tools for image recognition, object detection, and counters
  • Integrate AI tools into pipelines using Python and/or C++
  • Deploy applications to Google Cloud (Cloud Run, Cloud Functions)
  • Connect systems to BigQuery, Firestore, and Cloud Storage
  • Optionally, support local deployments on embedded systems like Raspberry Pi

Experience we’re looking for:

  • Solid experience with Python (and ideally C++)
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML, especially in image processing and time-series analysis
  • Familiarity with OpenCV and YOLO
  • Designing and deploying ML and AI models (e.g. using TensorFlow, Keras, Gemini)
  • Building and deploying solutions on Google Cloud Run / Functions
  • Bonus: Experience with Vertex AI Platform, and Google’s Vision API or Video AI tools
  • Background in IoT or sensor-based systems including embedded devices (e.g. Raspberry Pi PLCs, Arduino or ESP32)
