Caledonia Recruitment are recruiting an Import Operator for our Freight Forwarding client based in Aberdeen. The ideal candidate will be fully conversant in all aspects of Import operations and have a strong customs background, ensuring smooth and efficient transportation of goods. You will work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to offer top class customer satisfaction.
Your key responsibilities as an Import Operator:
- Coordinate and manage the shipment of goods via Import freight
- Booking Road, Air and Sea
- Track and update delivery statuses in the company's system and provide regular updates to clients
- Job invoicing and costing
- Prepare, track, and manage all documentation related to freight shipments, air waybills, customs declarations and invoices
- Prepare and submit customs clearances
- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations
- Maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimise freight processes and improve service delivery
Requirements:
- A minimum of 1 years experience with a UK freight forwarder in air freight
