Your Role and Responsibilities:
- Organise, plan and prepare meals ensuring that all home cooked food not only looks and tastes delicious but also reflects the preferences and dietary requirements of each resident.
- Provide guidance and training to care teams on understanding and implementing safe and appropriate textured food options for residents, ensuring compliance with dietary standards (e.g., IDDSI).
- Lead, motivate and inspire your kitchen team to develop and upskill.
- Comply with industry and Meallmore quality, hygiene and cleanliness standards.
- Work within budget, complete regular audits and stock control.
- Menu development, tailoring around resident's needs, likes and dislikes to ensure we deliver person-centred hospitality.
Skills & Requirements:
- Experience as Head Chef or similar, ideally in care homes or healthcare preferred.
- A personal and warm approach with a genuine interest of the well being of our residents.
- Knowledge of nutrition, dietary needs and food allergies.
- Excellent leadership and team management.
- Good understanding of HACCP & COSHH Food Safety Level 3 desirable.
