Salary: £41,773.88 per annum
1 year fixed term contract (maternity cover)
This is a maternity cover position expected to last up to 12 months, with the possibility of an earlier end date depending on the return of the post-holder.

About the Role
We’re looking for a talented Frontend Developer to join our team! If you love coding, designing great user experiences, and working on meaningful projects, this could be the perfect role for you!
As Frontend Developer you'll be helping to develop and maintain our web tools and websites, making sure they run smoothly and look great. You'll also be our go-to person for everything related to web design, development, and troubleshooting. If you're passionate about creating digital experiences, we’d love to hear from you!
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Developing and maintaining our digital web tools and websites.
- Working on design, layout, coding, and testing of web tools and sites.
- Diagnosing and fixing issues with our online systems.
- Making sure our web tools are running efficiently and suggesting improvements.
- Using JavaScript, jQuery, React/JSX, HTML5, CSS3, Sass, and Bootstrap to build great digital solutions.
- Creating prototypes and mock-ups for mobile, desktop, and web apps.
- Working with internal teams and external partners to deliver top-quality projects.
- Keeping documentation up to date and contributing to software architecture decisions.
- Researching new development approaches and presenting your ideas.
What We’re Looking For:
- In depth experience in web development.
- Experience of working in a contract role.
- Strong skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and .NET.
- Good working knowledge of using CMSs (WordPress preferable).
- Ability to handle browser compatibility issues and create responsive designs.
- Problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage deadlines.
- The ability to communicate internally with all levels across the organisation.
- Experience using git for source code version control.
- Relevant certification or equivalent experience.
