Location: Farnham, Surrey

Salary: up to £26,000

Our client is located in Farnham in Surrey and looking for an IT Assistant, this is a permanent full-time role with hybrid and flexible working options.

IT Assistant responsibilities:

  • Monitoring our client’s internal IT helpdesk and responding to queries in a timely manner
  • Monitoring the use of software (e.g. Microsoft) and hardware (e.g. Printers) and looking for ways to improve our existing systems
  • Training and assisting with IT inductions for new starters
  • Liaising with third party suppliers
  • Ordering and setting up new and replacement IT equipment
  • Updating technology and tools to ensure the latest products, documents and relevant software are accessible and communicating prospective changes to employees
  • This role will require occasional travel to other offices

About You:

  • 1 year of relevant work experience would be great but is not essential.
  • A minimum of 3 A-levels at grades A to C (or equivalent).
  • A university degree with a 2:1 or above is desired but is not essential.
  • A strong aptitude for IT and able to pick up new tech quickly.
  • Super organised, able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Able to prioritise workload effectively and work in a flexible manner.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Enjoys a fast-paced work environment.
  • A self-starter with a high level of resilience.
  • Demonstrates a strong team spirit but also very effective working independently.
  • A positive “can do” attitude with a strong desire to learn and develop.
