As a Process Operative, you will be required to work as a member of a team of operatives (varying in size) reporting through a Team Leader to the Section Leader. Effective liaison, team working and interaction with other operatives and supervisory staff is fundamental.

The job is performed mainly in a temperature controlled area and involves extensive periods of standing and repetitive movements.

Shift Pattern: 06:00 to 18:00, 223 rotating shift pattern (Week 1 Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday / Week 2 Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday)

Pay rate: £12.60-£12.78 per hour

Free transport from: Sleaford, Lincoln, Boston and Grantham.

Skill / Knowledge required:

  • To work as a member of a team to achieve production outputs in a timely manner.
  • To use knives, to carry out trimming/slicing/dicing of product, in a safe manner regarding all health and safety requirements.
  • To use scissors, to carry out trimming/dicing of product, in a safe manner regarding all health and safety requirements.
  • To tray/pack product, as documented within the customer specification and shown within the Quality Attribute Standards on line.
  • To ensure that product quality is maintained and any product which fails to meet this standard is dealt with accordingly and disposed of if required.
  • To maintain a clean area, dispose of product from the floor in the appropriate waste bin.
  • To carry out a rotation throughout the tasks within the area.
  • To carry out tasks as trained.
  • To advise managers when not trained for tasks you are being asked to carry out.
  • Not to undertake any tasks where training has not taken place.
  • To work in a manner that promotes the health and safety of oneself and others.
  • To report any health and safety issues to your immediate manager.
  • To report any accidents or near misses to the first aider in the area.
  • To set a good example of behaviour.
  • To work in a manner which ensures Quality and Hygiene standards are maintained in the production environment.
  • To ensure productivity standards are maintained.
  • You may be asked to work in any area of the business as and when demand requires it.
  • To carry out a reasonable amount of overtime or to work outside core hours to meet orders and demand of the business.
  • To work in a manner that actively seeks to reduce any negative environmental impact in relation to the processes and procedures operating within your area and across the wider business e.g. reduction of waste, recycling etc.
  • Any other duties that are required.
