We are working on behalf of welcoming and inclusive SEN schools across Greater Manchester who are looking for skilled and compassionate SEN Teachers to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a lasting impact on pupils with additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, and complex needs.
The Role:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to pupils with a range of special educational needs
- Work closely with support staff, parents/carers, and external professionals to ensure holistic support for each learner
- Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
- Support pupils' emotional and behavioural development
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Proven experience teaching students with SEN (either in mainstream or specialist settings)
- Strong behaviour management skills and a nurturing approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- A proactive and reflective teaching style
Desirable:
- Team Teach or other de-escalation training
- Experience with PECS, Makaton, or other communication systems
- Knowledge of EHCPs and safeguarding procedures
