As a Surgical First Assistant you will be a fully qualified practitioner with extensive experience in ENT operations.
Main duties:- Preparing the patient for surgery.
- Confidently handle the tissue and manipulation of organs for access.
- Use retractors competently under the supervision of the surgeon.
- Be able to cut deep sutures and ligatures.
- Assist with wound closure where directed.
- Apply dressings where required.
- You must be an Operating Department Practitioner or Registered Nurse with full NMC/HCPC registration.
- A Post-graduate qualification as a Surgical First Assistant.
- At least 6-months of UK experience as a Scrub/SFA.
