Catering Manager Brands Hatch We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Catering Manager to oversee all catering operations at the legendary Brands Hatch motor racing circuit in Kent. This incredible opportunity involves managing multiple outlets, including two permanent restaurants, whilst providing catering for raceday hospitality, conferences, Christmas parties and a range of other events. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the catering industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering high quality food and customer experiences. With a history spanning close to a century, Brands Hatch is a world-class venue renowned for its outstanding catering and hospitality. Its currently home to some of Europes largest and most prestigious race meetings, including GT World Challenge, British Superbikes, British Touring Cars and EuroNASCAR. One of the busiest sporting venues in the UK, the circuit also hosts a range of midweek activities, including trackdays, race car testing, driving experiences and corporate driving days. Responsibilities of the Catering Manager : Oversee the day-to-day operations of all catering outlets, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery Manage and coordinate catering services for a variety of events, including raceday hospitality, corporate functions, and conferences Liaise with the appointed mobile catering provider to ensure an appropriate number and variety of units are present at major promoted race meetings Manage staff schedules to agreed budgets, ensuring adequate levels to meet business needs Provide all guests with a consistently high standard of food quality and customer service, working closely with the Head Chef Monitor and control food and beverage costs, working with the Head Chef to minimise waste and maximise profit without compromising quality Procure high quality food at the best possible value by identifying and using suppliers Analyse financial performance and identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue growth Prepare accurate and timely financial reports Manage floats, cashing up, and reconciliation Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and food safety regulations Recruit, train and develop staff to deliver outstanding service Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback Foster a culture of exceptional customer care, ensuring that all guests receive a first-class experience Ensure all catering equipment is in working order and coordinate with service suppliers for any repairs Develop menus for catering and hospitality activities alongside the Head Chef and other company departments, where appropriate Requirements for the role: Proven experience within a similar role in the catering and hospitality industry, preferably in a sports or entertainment venue Strong leadership and people management skills Excellent organisational and time management skills Strong financial acumen In-depth knowledge of food and beverage operations, with a keen eye for detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Outstanding customer service abilities Relevant Food, Safety, and Hygiene qualifications High motivation and energy with a can-do attitude Willingness to work long hours, including evenings and weekends Prior experience working with digital rota systems (e.g. RotaCloud) is desirable In return MSV offers: Excellent pay Up to 31 days holiday (including Bank Holidays) A workplace pension Training opportunities Access to our MSV Hub, giving you access to discounts at hundreds of retailers across the UK Access to 24/7 wellbeing services A staff pass allowing access for yourself and a guest to events at all MSV circuits Discounted food and drink when working on site Free parking The Catering Manager position is being offered on a permanent 42.5-hour contract basis.
